Target Fall Try-On

I popped into Target yesterday and found SO many cute things they have out for fall right now! I saw a lot of things I liked, but found some that they didn’t fit quite like I liked. Here is what I liked, what I didn’t like, and what was just ok!

For reference points, I am 5’7″, have a long torso, and usually wear XS or S and am a 0 or 2 in pants. Just because it doesn’t fit for me, doesn’t mean you won’t like it!

What I loved and took home

By far, my most favorite thing I tried on was these jeans. They are a litter pricier at $34.99 than most Universal Thread jeans at Target, but the fit is worth every penny!

Magic Post Partum Mom Jeans

These jeans are simply amazing! I had my son Caleb three months ago and still can’t fit into my regular jeans (that took a lot of courage to say!) These jeans are
-stretchy
-high-waisted
-soft
-comfortable for bending down and picking baby/kids up

I am wearing my regular size!

Next up is this adorable knit kimono cardigan!

Burnt Orange Kimono Cardigan

I’m not normally one who goes for this rust/orange color, but trying it on, I really loved it! This came home with me. I am wearing my normal XS. It runs big, so it is ok to size down if needed. Or stay with your regular size for an over-sized look!

I’m just now realizing how fun graphic tees are to style and put together…turns out the options are pretty endless! For now, I’m sticking with the classic jeans and tee look, although I want to branch out soon!

Peachy Tee

Can’t Be Trusted Alone in Target Tee

Colorado is kind of known for our Palisade peaches in mid-August, so I’m loving this Peachy tee right now! Also, the gray tee speaks much truth: I really can’t be trusted in Target alone (ask my husband!)

I sized up to a medium from my normal XS/S size because the tees run short! The medium did not look any bigger, just longer. The Peachy tee is slightly see through, just as a warning!

The last thing I loved and brought home is this beautiful knit cardigan in mauve. They have lots of colors available if mauve isn’t your thing; I just loved how the color brought out the blonde highlights in my hair!

Universal Thread Knit Cardigan

I did try on some things that I thought were really pretty, but didn’t buy for specific reasons. For example,

THIS DRESS. It is so pretty. I love the yellow floral print and how it works perfectly for summer and fall. My Target only had a small and a large, so I tried on the small, but sadly it didn’t work well for me. The small had great length, so maybe size up if you are tall. The reason why I didn’t purchase it is because I was uncomfortable with how low cut it was. The wrap part of the dress made it nursing friendly, but honestly, it felt like it could come undone any moment if my son grabbed on to the tie, which he is quickly learning how to do. Not the point of a nursing friendly dress! I love this dress though and really wished it would have worked for me!

Yellow Floral Print Wrap Dress

The other dress I tried on was this adorable shirt dress that was super soft and comfortable. I put it back though for two reasons even though I wanted to like it so badly. It was way too short, which is usually my problem with shirt dresses, and the pockets sewn into the hips made the fabric bulge weird on my hips. It just felt shapeless. (Note to self, Target. Women don’t like that.)

Universal Thread Charcoal Gray Shirt Dress

I also tried on these jeans, but put them back because while the bottoms were stretchy, the waist was super tight! They were really uncomfortable and they didn’t last long on.

Universal Thread Dark Rinse Skinny Jeans

That’s it for now! Overall, Target has some adorable things for fall!
